Over 100 years of innovation have gone into making Brother the global supplier of business technology solutions that it is today.

Founded in Japan in 1908, and celebrating its 50th year of operation in the UK this year, Brother has continually adapted to thrive in an ever-changing marketplace, an approach that was recently recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its sustainable development.

Brother manufactures a range of label printers which enable users to clearly identify various applications around a data centre environment. Available from 3.5mm to 36mm wide, Brother’s industry-leading tapes undergo extreme testing to meet the demands of a data centre, including cable wrapping, heat shrink tubing, use on rough surfaces and tamper-proofing. As a result, cabling administration records become more accurate, making isolated identification much faster.

To ensure a high-quality finish, all the models come with a range of built-in industry symbols and templates, and others are enabled for wireless printing from smartphone or tablet using the Mobile Cable Label Tool app or from a laptop using Brother’s free P-touch Editor design software.

Network installers to benefit from cloud based solution following new Brother and Fluke Networks affiliation

Brother has partnered with Fluke Networks’ LinkWare™ Live Affiliates Programme to produce iLink&Label - a mobile application for iPhone which integrates Fluke Networks LinkWare Live with Brother’s PT-E550WVP labelling device for network installers. Streamlining cable labelling and network testing, the app creates a more efficient process which reduces costs and errors too.

Seamlessly connecting the office to the fieldworker, Fluke Networks LinkWare Live allows the project manager or system designer planning the network infrastructure to create cable IDs in LinkWare Live’s cloud-based system.
